The mid-rise apartment buildings along Wilson Avenue carry the neighbourhood's heaviest infestation load — bed bugs and German cockroaches spread through vertical pipe chases with high tenant turnover, and the Wilson Avenue retail strip feeds mice and flies into the same buildings' ground floors. The CN York Subdivision rail corridor crossing the east side adds a second rodent pathway distinct from the highway edge.
