Rodent Control in Downsview Park

Downsview Park is a redevelopment zone, not an established residential grid — 2010s and 2020s townhomes and condos built on the former military airport lands, surrounded by the vast open park. New construction here means disturbed soil, unsettled foundations, and wildlife displaced from the old airfield, so the dominant calls are mice and spiders in brand-new homes, wasps nesting in fresh landscaping, and coyotes, geese, and ticks moving off the open grassland into the adjacent streets.

The commercial and industrial buildings along Carl Hall Road and inside the Hangar carry a different load: pigeons and sparrows nesting in the former aerospace hangars, and rats drawn to the active construction sites as each parcel turns over. The Barrie GO rail line along the east edge runs mice and rats into the same buildings, making bird and rodent exclusion the bulk of the commercial work here.
